Smoke Makes You Choke!
Your lungs produce a sticky substance called mucus. Mucus traps dust and smoke.
Tiny hairs called cilia sweep the dirty mucus to your nose to be sneezed out!
Smoking cigarettes flattens out the cilia so soot and tar build up. This turns pink & healthy lungs to black! (ew!)
Students should be able to explain this process, definite cilia & mucus and label them on a sketch.
