FAQs
Q: How do you grade?
A: 70% assessment + 30% homework = 100%
Assessments include tests, quizzes, reports, projects, group work, centers, etc.
Homework is any work completed away from school. Students may earn full credit for homework that is turned in on time and completed to the best of his/her ability. Late assignments will only earn partial credit.

Q: Will you take field trips?
A: Field trip information will be posted on our blog and permission slips will be sent home as well. Some field trip opportunities come up suddenly. For example, a museum may offer a scholarship on short notice and we might not have a lot of lead time. However, as often as possible, plenty of advance notice will be provided.

Q: How much homework will students have?
A: Students in grade 4 should have approximately, on average, 30-45 minutes of homework daily.
This may include:
specific assignments for the day
math fact review
reading
studying for upcoming tests

Q: Will homework be a review or new material?
A: Written homework will be a practice of topics covered in class.
