SECOND MENTION ABOUT A SPECIAL ART LESSON: You need to bring something in!
As mentioned on October 15th Homework Notice/Newsletter, Ms. Coreen Abbot of the Museo Italo-Americano will be visiting us for an art lesson in perspective and portraiture. Her visit is part of the CIAO (Children's Italian Art Outreach) program. Students are to choose a family member, friend, acquaintance, saint, classmate, or celebrity whose portrait they wish to paint. ON NOVEMBER 1, EACH STUDENT WILL NEED A 6" X 8" COMPUTER IMAGE OF THEIR PORTRAIT SUBJECT'S HEAD-- Please make sure you have measured. Hint: You can do a google image search once you have selected your person.
SCHOOL SUPPLY: Clorox Wipes
Because we eat in our classroom, and to prevent the spread of germs, we use Clorox wipes to clean frequently-touched surfaces. Only a few students brought in their Clorox wipes canister, we are now nearly out. If you did not send in this item, please do so. If you would like to send in additional ones for service hours, please feel free to send them in any time.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES: Multiplication & Division Cards 0-12
Fact fluency is a must & makes learning double digit multiplication much easier.
HELPERS: You're wanted!
If you or someone in your family has a spare hour or wants to earn service hours within the classroom, please contact me. We'd love to have you be a part of our learning.
NEW DESKS: Thank you to Oliver's Dad.
Thank you so much to Carmen's family and Oliver's family for picking up our school desks way long ago at the start of the year. Oliver's dad has now brought them all upstairs for us and we have installed them in our classroom. Thanks so much for all of your care and patience.
