Please keep in touch and tell me what you're up to, I would really enjoy hearing from you-- not just this year's 4th graders-- but all of the students I taught while at Mission Dolores.

Summer Read SF 2011
June 1-July 30, you can sign up online, a fun way to continue to develop reading skills.

Barnes & Noble Summer Reading: Imagination’s Destination!
Kids read any 8 books and record them in the Reading Journal (you can download this on the Barnes & Noble website) Kids can choose a FREE book from the B&N list when they turn in a completed Journal at a local B&N.


Summer Reading Program
Although there's no assigned reading over the summer, you can use Ms. Timoney's reading list & log for incoming 5th graders. All of the information is available on the school website, still posted under 'academics'


Asian Art Museum
Free on the first Sunday of every month. Family activities.


California Academy of Sciences
Free days are according to zipcode.


Cable Car Museum
@ Mason & Washington.
Always Free.

Wave Organ
Located on a jetty across from the Marina Green (at the end of Yacht Road).
Major cross streets: Marina Boulevard @ Lyon.
Listen to the waves & wind make music with the assistance of 25 concrete and PVC pipes planted in the water. Beautiful views, best at high tide.
