Hey 4th graders, just got home, it's now 7:30pm. You get an extra day to fill in any past 20 because of MY delay, sorry!
We will soon put together our class cookbook. Here are some cooking terms and their definitions for #21-30.

22. barbecue: to cook by grilling food over a wood or charcoal fire.
23. blanch: to put foods by plunging them into boiling water for a few seconds and then putting them into ice cold water to stop the cooking process. This prevents things from losing color and flavor.
24. braise: to cook in a small amount of water.
25. chopped: cut into irregular pieces.
26. chowder: a thick soup (a lot of the time it has potatoes).
27. deep-fry: cook completely in hot oil.
oil that’s hot enough to immediately surround the potatoes with bubbles.
28. dredge: to coat a food with flour.
29. flambe: to ignite a sauce or other liquid so that it has flames!
