Today we learned the basics of photography with professional photographer, Jennifer Hale.
Jennifer Hale has worked with:
Smithsonian, Forbes, BusinessWeek, Newsweek, The Advocate, US News & World Report, The Wire, Technology Review, 7x7 Magazine, California Home + Design, Hispanic Business Magazine, California Lawyer, Real Health, Natural Home, and Readymade.
After a lesson in lighting and perspective, we took our cameras outside and took photos of things that interested us, as well as 7 assignment photos, including: a quadrilateral, part of a building and sky, something with an obtuse, right, or acute angle in it, and something that might make someone feel happy, content, or joyful. Students were to journal their reasoning for their 'free' photos. It should be very exciting to get these developed and continue our photography project.
Thank you very much to the families of DJ and Ernesto, for donating our cameras!
