TODAY'S GARDEN JOURNEY

Students who brought back their permission slips walked across the street to CDS where we engaged in some garden-related activities. We made rosemary salted potatoes, Native-American crafts, and lip balm. Students brought home a small baggie of rosemary salt to use at home. Please remember, a little bit goes a LONG way! Lip balm will be delivered to us by Friday-- it needed time to cool.

We were able to enjoy student-led tours of the CDS farm and garden as well. This was a quick trip, lasting only about an hour, and it was quite enjoyable!

We now have some more tomatoes and sunflowers to plant in our 4th grade garden at Mission Dolores, so guess what we'll do tomorrow?!

We still have a strong need for new garden hoses that can attach to one another to make one long hose to keep our garden efficiently watered over the summer time. Joshua's family has offered to care for our garden during summer but we need this one last bit of help. Can anyone help us out?

P.S. Check out Ms. Vanessa's blog http://cdscbl.blogspot.com/ to see some pictures of their project with us!
