Thank you so much to Akilah's grandmother for helping set up and mark students as they dashed around our school yard. Your efforts are appreciated!
Student participants brought in a grand total of $2651!! Combined with the $1000 we'd already received, our school now has enough money another interactive board, this one on wheels, that can be transported from class to class. The boards in grades 4 and 6 were a part of a grant through SFUSD. The grant specifically was written for those two grades, that is why they are permanently bolted into those two rooms.
Kickball was a success for 8th grade. Unfortunately not the teachers... maybe next year when I can help them out again.
