On Thursday, the 4th grade visited an Indian Cultural Center during our Social Studies class.
We had the opportunity to:
see a sweat lodge,
listen to & learn new songs,
listen to & play the drum,
meet Natives from various tribes throughout the United States,
ask questions,
tell what we already knew about Indians,
view Native murals
learn
and more. . .
This was a great, quick, field trip and it was so helpful to have Isabela's dad, Gabriela's dad, and Jaden's mom with us on our 'colorful' walk through the Mission, to get to Julian Street.
Our students were very well behaved & respectful. Good job 4th graders.
Our next out-of-school learning experience will be related to science on the 20th. Please refer to our earlier blog posts about what to wear and bring.
