Today the Audubon Canyon Ranch docents visited our class and led us in science & nature activities in preparation for our field trip. On 10/20/09 we will go on this all day field trip. We will discuss this trip at our next PTO meeting and the permission slip will go home this Wednesday.
A few pieces of information...
We will take a 2 hour bus ride to get to Bolinas Lagoon Preserve. If you know that your child is easily carsick, please give them Dramamine or Bonine (non-drowsy preferred) in the MORNING. Do not send your child with medication on their own. If for some reason you are sending any medicine, it must be accompanied by a note and given to me.
Students will need to bring
backpack (no wheeled backpacks)
windbreaker or sweater
good, hearty lunch (we are hiking for 3 hours)
water or juice (container must be able to be resealed)
long pants (jeans or sweatpants)
layered tops for all types of weather
shoes appropriate for walking (hiking boots or their tennis shoes are fine)
