On 10/08/09, the 4th & 5th graders will visit the California Academy of Sciences for a School Group Visit with supplemental Planetarium Educational Experience. We will leave school BY 8:50am and will return to MD before our 3:00pm dismissal time.
This field trip supports the California State Standards for Science.
Transportation & Fees
Our class will take the N Judah from our neighborhood and walk to CAS.
Please bring $1.50, ($4 for adults) preferably in quarters for this field trip.
Lunch
Please bring a bagged lunch (hot lunch students will receive a bagged lunch) as we will eat lunch outside in the Music Concourse or in the Academy Gardens. No open food or drink is allowed on the exhibit floor and storage for lunches is NOT available.
Parent Helpers will...
+ help students follow the rules outlined by the CAS
+ not eat or drink in the exhibits
+ stay with their student group at ALL TIMES
+ ensure that students are respectful of the living animals
+ lead students in respectful behavior, acting as role models by:
1) walking
2) talking quietly
3) not tapping on the glass.
