UNFINISHED WORK
Students, please complete any assignments on this list and turn it in. Missing homework will earn only part credit but assignments that just have not yet been finished from class may earn full credit if submitted in a timely fashion.
GARDENING UPDATE
Justine's dad has generously offered to donate plenty of soil (and great advice!) for our gardening project. My in-laws, Joyce & Tom Bair have also made a donation to our gardening project. Our tires should be here soon and this weekend I will place our order for some plants, seeds and planter boxes. The tires will be used for non-edible items (unless we decide to line some of them). We will also be purchasing some planters for planting vegetables and herbs. Please let me know if you are interested in helping with this project.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR SERVICE HOURS
1) Mondays/Tuesdays: Take graded paper file home and file student work into envelopes. Must be returned on Wednesday for distribution to students. This is a job that can be worked on at home.
2) Help students practice math flash cards and/or listen to students read aloud (one-on-one). M-F 8-9am, only the days you're available.
3) Help organize classroom art closet.

- From the University of California, Davis, I graduated with a BA in English Literature (major) and Teacher Education (minor). While at UCD, I competed on the swim team and was a yearbook staff writer. From the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, I earned a Master's Degree in Education, specializing in Curriculum and Instruction. While at the University of the Pacific I also wrote and received a grant for a literacy project and for a travel project. I possess a Clear Multiple Subject teaching credential with Supplementary Authorization in English from the State of California. I have passed the examination for California Teachers of English Learners (CLAD/CTEL) in all three domains. In addition, I am classified as a 'NCLB Highly Qualified Teacher'. For eleven years I have taught fourth grade (and I love it!) My education experiences also include 5th, a 4th/5th combination class, K, 1st, high school varsity/jv sports coaching and a unique & rewarding experience supervising incarcerated dual diagnosis developmentally disabled adults in math and reading activities. I am so excited to work with you this year!!
