In just five minutes, the entire fourth grade is now able to accomplish the following without rushing:
1) Enter the classroom
2) Unpack everything at their desks
3) Put their backpacks away into the closet
4) Put snacks and lunches in designated spots
5) Submit all homework
6) Sit down to hear about assignments to be copied into Agendas
We use a song that is about 5 minutes and 30 seconds long to help us know when time is almost up. Way to go fourth graders!!!

- From the University of California, Davis, I graduated with a BA in English Literature (major) and Teacher Education (minor). While at UCD, I competed on the swim team and was a yearbook staff writer. From the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, I earned a Master's Degree in Education, specializing in Curriculum and Instruction. While at the University of the Pacific I also wrote and received a grant for a literacy project and for a travel project. I possess a Clear Multiple Subject teaching credential with Supplementary Authorization in English from the State of California. I have passed the examination for California Teachers of English Learners (CLAD/CTEL) in all three domains. In addition, I am classified as a 'NCLB Highly Qualified Teacher'. For eleven years I have taught fourth grade (and I love it!) My education experiences also include 5th, a 4th/5th combination class, K, 1st, high school varsity/jv sports coaching and a unique & rewarding experience supervising incarcerated dual diagnosis developmentally disabled adults in math and reading activities. I am so excited to work with you this year!!
